Contact Apple or go to your local Apple Store/Authorized Repair Facility to have the watch inspected and find out your options. You didn’t say which series Watch or how long you have had it. It’s possible the battery needs to be replaced. You also said it was overheating (not sure if you meant it had been overheating prior to it being unable to recharge). Clearly it needs to be inspected to determine the next options.

The same advice applies. Contact Apple Support directly for assistance or go to your local Apple Store. You can also try any of the steps in the following link to see if anything helps before contacting Apple (this is the link that is at the top of this page and may be what you viewed before coming to post here).

Make sure the problem isn’t your charger (the cable or the adapter you have the cable connected to) by trying a different one or plugging the adapter into another plug. Also allow time for the watch to stay connected to the charger since you said it’s completely dead.
