Mac Studio is very warm overnight

Hello,

So I'm owning Mac Studio M2 Max for few weeks now. It's connected to a Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Dock Station with different pheripherals like audio interface, mouse, keyboard and iPhone MagSafe Charger. I also had a Samsung SSD Drive connected directly to the Mac.

The issue I have is that when i check the Mac in the morning, it's very warm as if it was active through the night. I don't understand why - I expected I can leave it in sleep mode so I don't have to turn it off and on again. Is this something I can setup - could it be any of the pheripherals that's causing the issue?

The latest macOS versions are having various issues with automatic computer sleep mode.

Some systems crash and force a restart, others just freeze up and are unresponsive.

In this case, it also sounds like the fan(s) are turning off in sleep mode while other processes are still active.

As a test:

Turn on "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off" and only allowing the display(s) to turn off.

Then just leave the Mac on with display off and/or shut down for longer times of non-use.
