Home as a significant location?
Why doesn't my home show as a significant location? The last two locations are businesses I visited yesterday, but the phone was at home for about 24 hr. Isn't home a significant location?

Just check to make sure you have Home as an option using Contacts or Maps. You will find that when looking at the Significant Locations, that the 2 shown are not necessarily the last 2 significant locations visited. It has never been a tool for you to backtrack your locations visited. If your Home is already entered in Contacts, you may never see that as one of your Recent Locations since it has already been added as a Significant Location. I regularly have my iPhone at home and that never shows up as a recent Significant Location.

I have tried these steps and have also spent time with Apple to fix it. Because my home is NEVER recognized as a significant location despite it being properly identified in contacts and Apple Maps, if stolen device protection is on, then any changes I make require a one hour delay. Apple informed me that this is as intended. So Apple deliberately causes a delay when at home before significant changes can be made to settings. While I am sure this makes sense to Apple, it makes no sense to me. As I have learned, this “approach” can have negative consequences on the user. I have therefore turned off the stolen device protection because of the risks that function creates.
I have added my home address and my work address to both my contact card in Contacts and in Maps. I have done this on my work iPhone and my personal iPhone. Both of my iPhones consider my work address as a significant location but not my home address. (I know this because I have stolen device protection turned on, and any changes like turning off Find My are grayed out when I’m at home.) I think that the Significant Locations feature needs some more attention.
