What is the default app to manage and play MP4's on iphone

Hi. I have decades of experience with Windows. I am new to the iPhone (iOS 17.3).

I have iTunes (v12.13.13). I have lots of MP3's in the iTunes library copied to the iPhone. Those play fine.

I have a couple MP4's. They show up in the iTunes Library under Home Videos. iTunes is convinced it sync'ed them to the iPhone. Somewhere.

Photos > Albums > Media Types > Videos - shows various video clips recorded on the phone, but not the MP4's.

TV > Library - empty

Questions: What is the default app to locate and play them on the iPhone?

If correctly synced as home videos, they should appear in the TV app on the iPhone under Library ➜ Home Videos.

If you synced them using the Photo Sync option on iTunes and selected a folder that contains the videos, then they would be in the Photos App, in the Recents album or the Videos album.

If you want to be more specific of where they are, I can suggest downloading the VLC app form the iPhone app Store, and using the iTunes file share option t copy the mp4 videos into it directly.
