Upgrading to Catalina

I have a Macbook Pro (15 inch - Mid 2012). I have plenty of memory and storage free and according to Apple, the Macbook is compatible for upgrade to Catalina. I've tried to upgrade it but when I locate it on the App store and click 'get', the store keeps saying that the chosen version is unavailable.

How do I upgrade to Catalina...?

Are you running at least 10.11 El Captain?

if yes, use your running MacOS, if possible, NOT Recovery. Use the Mac App Store, but not "straight"

I’m running 10.14.2.

I’ve tried the links in that article. It takes me to the page and then when I try to download it, it says it is unavailable.
