Where is the low battery alert setting in High Sierra?

Somehow I got unplugged and the machine shut down in my face with no warning. I want to see what the settings are currently., and fix them if needed.

Not interested in 3rd party apps that do it.

MacBook Pro 17″, macOS 10.13

Your best bet is is check Show battery status in the menubar. That way, when it is low, you can click on it and see how much is left. Keep in mind, 20% left can frequently drain quicker than 30% left. A lot depends on the battery health.. Don't try to drain yourself down to zero. This aren't NiCAD batteries where you have to drain full cycles for the best use.

I would love if that worked for me but I need the huge and in your face alerts.

I SWEAR the low battery alert settings were in there too. Did they get removed along the OS upgrade path? I can't imagine an error or conflict that would remove the settings from the pane. I figured I was just overlooking them somewhere obvious. Any chance Apple would disable and hide them due to a 3rd party battery? I don't remember anything weird when I installed but that was 10(?) years ago.
