Mastercard support is shockingly poor

I have had a fraudulent charge from a website that Mastercard refuses to resolve. I signed up with https://educationcopilot.com/ back in July. After paying for the subscription and trying their product I quickly realized it was a scam. I went in to cancel my service but they will not let you cancel.

I have called in every month and every month Apple and Mastercard say it is taken care of. Every month I change my Apple ID, I change my card numbers and every month, this is the only stupid vendor that Mastercard pays, every other merchant that I have reoccurring with I have to update my card number.

I have never EVER had a problem with apple support and they have always taken care of everything without issue, except for this, and the common denominator is Mastercard. This is ridiculous and I want, someone that can fix this connect with me.

The issue is the subscription (recurring charges) and how they operate differently. Basically, it’s a contract between you and the service provider. The bank, be it Goldman Sachs, Apple or MasterCard, have limited power. Enter the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Think of the CFPB as your Golden Hammer. File a CFPB complaint and the charges will be stopped. Filing a complaint with BBB and other entities is just about useless, as you discovered.

File a credit card complaint against Goldman Sachs and/or MasterCard. You’ll receive an answer in about two weeks, sometimes quicker. The issue should be totally resolved in 30 days or less. If you have any questions, I’m here and there are several other members that are very knowledgeable and experienced that contribute. But most are reluctant to get involved when the poster has such anger. What good is it yelling at me? I’m the guy trying to help you.

Sorry dude, you caught me right after getting off the 20th 1hour call with them.

I don't know what to tell you other then it is a scam site my dude. They option to change the subscription is greyed out. I'll record a video of it when I get a min to show you.

Additionally they do not reply to their emails, answer phone calls our return voicemail. Whether or not they set out as a scam from the beginning is to be discussed, but as of now they are operating illegally as it is against the law to not allow one to cancel a subscription, which they are doing.

On top of all of it, I am utterly shocked at how easy it is to charge against an Apple Pay account, and how hard it is for the user to cancel that charge, beyond the merchant. I mean "old school" credit card I would just cut it up, report stolen and get a new one.

This whole ordeal has cause a lot of issues for my business with late payment (missed updated my CC on some accounts), late personal payments, etc. This has been going on since July, I have changed my CC number every month since July, I have changed my Apple ID password every month. This whole issues costs me about 2 hours of nonsense every month because of Mastercard and Goldmansach's **** poor customer service. I work in CS, and if I shat on my customers like this I'd of been out of a job years ago. What gets me the most is Apple, IMO is the pinnacle of how CS should operate, and this has been a really hard pill to swallow, using a product of theirs, that is broke, and they cannot fix it.

Again sorry for the attitude but I have a bout hit my fill with this nonsense. SO I am going to trash MC and GS in public forums until they sack up and fix the issue of MY CC NUMBER BEING USED AGAINST MY WILL BY EDUCATION COPILOT!!!

Thanks for trying to help Jeff.

Okay, I'll bite, cuz it is a ****** scam website. They do not reply to emails, they do not answer the phone and the option to cancel is blocked. I get you are trying to help, but come on.....

Trying to downgrade is greyed out. Additionally there is not even anywhere to update your card info. I was going to change to another card then just cancel that card. But they are so scammy that is not even an option.

Let’s take this discussion/exchange down a notch. Apple and Goldman Sachs are not here. They will not read your post. Apple Support Community is a public discussion forum for Apple users to connect and help/support each other. Your expletives are not a good way to ask for assistance.

Is it agreeable to have an amicable discussion, so I can understand the issue and explain the issues and how to resolve them?
