Mac M2 Studio with Apple Studio Display....I am a photographer and I like to peg my display brightness to what comes out of the printer. Right now the display is using the Photographer D65 at 70 cd/m. This is slightly too bright and I would like to drop the brightness down a tad but the brightness slider is locked. How can I manually adjust the brightness
as a professional image manipulator, Apple wants you to be using ColorSync for this process, not just manipulating the brightness settings:

Use color profiles to make sure the colors in your images appear the same on all your displays—and when you print.

Already turned off
Do you see "Automatically adjust brightness" and "Turn Tone" switches in the Display settings...?
If so, try turning those switches to the Off position.
Have you tested other Presets to see if one is closer to the print..?
