Import operation from iPhone to iMac

I'm trying to import a lot of photos from the iPhone to the Mac and it gets stuck and won't transfer, is there a reason this is happening?

I'll assume the MBP is running macOS 12 Monterey(?).

Which iPhone?

Which iOS version is the iPhone running?

Exactly what happens when you try to import your photos from the iPhone to the Photos app?

Does the Mac present any sort of error message?

If a simple reboot of your Mac doesn’t fix things, see if the problem still happens in Safe mode. It can take much longer to safe boot (5 min) so be patient.

Safe mode will often correct weird software behavior by forcing the OS to do disk repair, clear caches and other housekeeping and disables third-party mods and acceleration. When you're in safe boot, the machine won’t be at its best performance, especially with graphics, but that's expected.

Does the problem persist while in Safe mode?

Please tell us which Mac, model and year you’re having trouble with, and what macOS version you’re running. Find that info by clicking the Apple menu () at the top-left of your screen and then select About This Mac.

(Note- for privacy and security please never post your serial number.)

It will also be helpful to know which version of iOS is running on which iPhone.

After you have finished the import to Photos, you can copy or move the Photos library to an external drive as backup.

How many photos are you dealing with?

iPhone 14 Pro Max 1tb of course included the devices in the latest version.

The problem is, as the iPhone uploads all the photos for the import operation, I choose the button "Import all new items" and it does not import any photos for me even if I let it load for many hours. I want all the photos to upload to my photo software on the Mac.

Thank you very much for the help and support. it's important to me !
