What is causing my iPhone 14 to mess the radio up doing all sorts of funky things?

Radio/Carplay freezes periodically on Chevy Equinox I bought a 2023 Chevy Equinox in November 2022. Periodically the radio and screen freezes up/lags behind commands. I've checked with the dealer and they told me that there may be some settings I have to adjust to stop both issues.

Please explain? Does your radio try to automatically connect to its Bluetooth and then play from your phone? Or, I guess any number of things? But, just a little more details.
