How can I 'hide' or store contacts that are no longer used without deleting them?

I have hundreds of Contacts, but there are many that I no longer use frequently. I would like to keep them (in case I need to access the contact in the future), but wanted to see if there is an easy way to 'hide' or store them (?in a separate/hidden folder in Contacts) so I'm not scrolling through so many on a daily basis, but I could still easily access the contact information in the future should I need it. I hope that made sense...Thanks, in advance, for any help!

By default, when you open Contacts, you see those contacts in the list "All Contacts".

Create two more lists - "Hidden Contacts" and "Daily Contacts".

Add the ones you want to hide to the "Hidden Contacts" list.

Add all of your contacts to the "Daily Contacts" list, and then delete from there those that you don't want to be included in that list.

When you launch Contacts, select the Daily List as the one that you wish to display. Change at any time by selecting another.

Thanks for your reply.

I followed the link, but it was just information on how to create and use lists (unless I missed something?).

I have lists already, but what I'm trying to figure out is how to hide infrequently used contacts in such a way that I can access the contact again in the future.
