I bought a Apple tracker that I put on my cats collar and It can only updates his location once a day, so imagine I am worried I can only see updated 17hours ago until it’s been 24h why? I thought a tracker was supposed to track things whenever you needed to see the location!

AirTags are not recommended for pets. AirTags are not gps trackers and require nearby Apple devices to ping the location of the tag. Depending on your locality, that may only ping on occasion.
