After audio engine overload, audio output and CPU completely dead.
See screenshot below. I'm having a big problem in Mainstage. Have been using the software for almost ten years regularly but this is new to me and I'm stumped.
Whenever I get an Audio System Overload message, the concert no longer routes any audio anywhere and the CPU meter drops dead to zero. I can still click around within the concert and even see MIDI activity in the MIDI window and in the workspace, but all channel strips show zero activity. Can't get any sound out of my plugins either, even when I open up their GUIs and click aroind.
The concert does not operate correctly again until I shut down Mainstage and re-open it.
I am currently on a M1 Max mac, and just moved to it recently. When I was using my 2017 intel-based Mac, I would get the occasional Audio System Overload message here and there, but it wouldn't kill my concert like this. So I don't know what the issue is
I know the first thing to do is to try to avoid the overloads, but my buffer size and latency are already maxed out to the safest possible settings. I've done other optmizations too.
Any one able to point me in a helpful direction?
