Apple TV won't work on my brand new LG TV

I just bought a brand new LG TV. I set it up and all the apps are working fine but Apple TV. When I open the app I click the Sign In or Sign up button and it just keeps loading and loading. I have tried literally everything.......factory reset the TV, delete the app and re install it; reset my cable modem, router and still it's just loading. I attached a picture of what I mean. Does anyone have any ideas??

Too bad. LG was recently offering a free 3-month trial subscription to Apple TV+.

FWIW, the app DOES come up on my 2020 LG OLED CX prompting me to sign in with my Apple ID (which I haven't done because I've got an ATV4K device plugged into it :-). Also, I was seeing the LG TV's pop-up notifications offering the 3-month promo trial subscription to AppleTV+ just last week.
