Airpods pro 2 lightning and type c doesnt pair

Hello there. I have Apple airpods pro 2 Gen type C case. I lost my right airpod and my friend gave me her right airpod that it is Airpod type C 2 Gen also but from lightning case. I cannot pair together in my case just the one each time. They have different firmware althought the Final firmware for both of them is the same. I took them to an official partner service, and they say they cannot pair them if they are from different type charging case. I asked them to update to the latest firmware

and they told me they cant do that. (the update)

Any thoughs or similar problem that solved?

Hi minas1985,

The service provider was right, due to different models numbers from the AirPods itself they cannot be paired to another.

The AirPods also only do an update when both AirPods (matching and connected, ready to be used) are in there paired case and charging. Due to your loss you will need to buy a matching part. This can be done with some help from the Apple Support: AirPods Repair & Service - Apple Support
