Share to gmail on sharesheet not working

I’m having the exact same issue. Just started last week, tried to share with Gmail and fails

For me this didn’t work.

Can please some Apple technicians look into it and post the answers.

It’s becoming annoying. Nothing works. No files, photos or anything else can’t be send like before.

I did notice, however, that this doesn't happen when I change Gmail accounts so it must be an account, not a phone issue?

I don’t see any default option in mail settings

At the very bottom: default account

I found the issue. Go to settings, mail, scroll to the bottom to default account, modify to the one you are using on gmail app… kabooom

What SravanKrA seems to be suggesting is that you connect the native Mail account to your Gmail account, and then share to Mail instead of sharing to Gmail. Your sent mail will still appear within Gmail, so it’s a win. I would just add that you should be careful about setting iCloud backup options. I don’t bother to back up mail (and spend money on its storage) since Gmail is already in the cloud.

My suspicion is that’s to do with storage , it seems to work when I clean up all the rubbish and remove the photos etc for a while and then it does not again. I have not found a solution. It’s definitely not about email clients and such
