Vertical Lines on camera of iMac M1 - 24inch

Have you tried creating a Test User and see if it does it there? You can also run Hardware Diagnostic to check hardware. Also run Safe Mode once to clear up cache file files and reboot normal mode to see if it's still there.

I agree then, it appears to be a failing GPU, please call AppleCare, click AppleCare Contact Info to find the phone number for your country. Another thing you can provide us is a report of your system so we can look for anything installed that may be causing the problem.

It will help us get a good idea of what is causing your problem if you provide a report of your system, that way we do not have to play 20 questions with you. Sad to say that it looks to be a hardware issue then. I take it you have AppleCare? It will need a hardware repair.

Same issue here! It seems that is a hardware failure... the camera sensor! The cost repare: about 800EUR because the camera is glued to the display panel! This hardware is a joke! iMac (M1 2021)

Before you take it in be sure to have a full and current backup of the drive. Apple will want to erase the drive, install a pristine system to verify it's not software related.

BTW, do you have any of the following third party apps installed on your Mac?

I also have an iMac M1 with the exact same camera issue - a single vertical line showing up.

The line is always visible for me and others, in FaceTime, Google meet, Zoom

If anyone has fixed a similar camera issue on the iMac M1, please share your tips!

Same here… I have 4 vertical black lines on the can of my iMac M1 (2021, 24 inch).
