Irregular pricing of show seasons

On the Apple TV app, the price of some seasons is completely irrational. For example, the price for season 5 of Riverdale is double the price of the other seasons while having the same number of episodes. I'm in Canada, I don't know if those issues are also present elsewhere.

The "All Episodes" tag leads me to believe that they make you buy both the french and english version unlike the other seasons where you can choose, hence why the price is doubled, but I cannot confirm.

A similar issue is present for the Simpsons season 3, which is unavailable to buy as a season.

Buying the episodes individually would end up being double the price, which is crazy.

I think the issue is because episode 1 of season 3 is unavailable (it's the one with Michael Jackson, so it was probably removed from purchase altogether), but I'd still rather pay the season that buy all episodes individually and end up paying 45$ for it.

I don't know if anything can be done about it, but considering I don't buy that many TV shows and already encountered these two with prices that are unreasonable, I'm sure there's plenty more with similar issues. I contacted billing support but they were unhelpful, and I dunno if I can contact the people dealing with the store data itself.

Any reason why this is happening? Is there anything we can do about it? Thank you!

While this is true, Riverdale season 5 is available on other services (xbox and playstation) in Canada for the regular price. Why is the price only different for this season on Apple and why is the price the double the one of a regular season. Again, the impression I get is that the season package includes the episode both in French and in English, or multiples copies of the same episode for some reason.

The Simpsons is a different issue, but season passes are also available on other service for a regular price (they simply removed episode 1 of the season). It seems Apple just removed the season pass option altogether, but the provider is definitely OK with selling season passes as it is available on other services.

I understand the prices are set-up by providers, but these price issues seem to be more because those seasons are not properly set-up as such on the iTunes store end. Otherwise the provider is asking Apple to charge more for something that is available cheaper on similar services.

You may want to contact the iTunes Store staff about this situation and your options. Good luck!

No, that would be more unusual than omitting seasons or buy-per-episode or spiked prices for a certain selection.
