iMac stuck on Diagnosing your pc

My IMac was working fine yesterday then at about 12pm it got stuck I turned it off and on then it come up with the windows sign saying preparing for repair then says diagnosing your pc then says unable to repair try advance options but I don’t have a clue what I’m doing please help

Tried running D key on startup. Once in diagnostic mode it seems to lock up saying 1 minute left. Sat here for an hour nothing. Restart computer and it runs fine but still will not me make video or capture screen movie.

Can a 13 year old IMac be repaired? After I turn on my iMac, the initial status bar moves slowly and never completely continues and the computer shuts down.
