HDMI audio and video is skipping when plugged into macbook pro 14inch 2023

Whenever I plug in an HDMI cord with an adapter piece or into the computer's built-in HDMI port and try to play video and or audio it would skip or fast forward to the end. I don't know why or how to fix this issue.

MacBook Pro video and audio jitter with Yamaha stereo I have a projector connected to a Yamaha Stereo. Usually, I connect my Windows laptop to the stereo via HDMI, and it gives no problems; however, since I've got a MacBook Pro now, it's giving issues. When the Mac is connected to the stereo without the sound connected, the picture is cast fine; however, when I change the sound output to the stereo as well, the sound and the image start to jitter. Is there a specific setting that I have to change? If anybody knows about this, it would be extremely helpful.

Jittery Sound through HDMI Hi, I'm experiencing a strange issue with my MacBook. When I connect it to my TV via HDMI, the picture works perfectly, but the sound output through the TV is jittery, crackly, and unusable. This issue appeared out of nowhere, and as a result, I have to play sound through my laptop instead of the TV. I've ruled out the HDMI cable as the cause since it's brand new and tried multiple. I've tried switching between the MacBook and TV outputs in the Sound preferences. I've also checked the Audio MIDI Setup, where the audio output is set to 48 kHz (the standard). Despite all this, I can't figure out the cause, and I haven't found anyone else reporting the same problem online. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to resolve this? Thanks!

Sound drops out every few seconds and then returns. Making listening to music etc impossible! It seems that any sound source on my iMac Mini (a week old) seems to drop after a couple of seconds and then return. I have to say I was experiencing this on my Old MacBook Pro too. So, iTunes - start playing, 2 seconds in fades to nil for half a second then returns to full volume then after 2 seconds, does the same until I can bear it no longer. Looked on all the forums but most suggest upgrading my Mac - er, done that. No other Apple device in the house suffers this issue. Currently using a Samsung Frame TV as a monitor - but even if I play music/sound through the iMac speakers, the same happens... Any thoughts please?
