Is my MBP dead? All it shows is a blinking folder with a?

All I did was press the power button and Apple symbol came on for a second and then the blinking folder with a? On it it will not let me do anything else like press, option, command, and Art to reset it.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.4

It means it cannot find the OS to startup. Apple provides this support article and you may need to reinstall the OS if step 3 does not repair the drive.

No Problem and I'm sure you will be happy with a new one. Since you are at that point, it will not hurt to attempt to reinstall the OS as outlined in step 4. This typically does not erase any data stored on your computer and you would be able to use that data to import into your new computer if you do not have a backup.
