Locked notes password

This also assumes you didn't specify a password hint, or that the hint hasn't been sufficient to allow recall of the password.

There are no back doors in Notes. That password is the sole path to access the protected data.

From that link: Apple doesn't have access to locked notes and can’t help you access them if you forget your notes password. If you forget your notes password, resetting the password doesn’t give you access to previously locked notes. If you reset then create a new notes password, that only allows you to lock other notes.

You can, however, guess the Note password as many times as you want in this case. Guessing is usually a Really Bad idea, but in this particular case unlimited guessing is allowed.

Check other passwords you created and used around the same time, too. Maybe one of those provides a hint or reminder for this password.

Click here and see the last section. This won't restore access to already-locked notes, but there isn't a limit to the number of times you can try guessing the old one.
