Iphone 14 pro max - charging issue

Let me explain my scenario, my iphone is out of charge and got switched off. I have connected my phone to the charger and left aside, when i come back after 5mins to check whether my phone is switched on i see it’s not and when i disconnect, again connect the charger - it charges my phone? Is this happening only with me only it works 2nd time of plugging to? Do i need to take it for repair or replacement?

NOTE - I checked for loose connections also, still i have this problem

If you already tried (to no avail) all the steps provided in this support article:--> If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge ,

and if you already tried (to no avail) to perform a forced restart of your 14 ProMax, following these instructions: Put it on charge for at least half an hour, then, keeping it plugged in, use these gestures:

In rapid sequence, press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).

but the issue still persists, then yes, make an appointment (*) and have your device+charger+cable inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> https://locate.apple.com/choose-country-region . After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
