Cannot press call button to call out from contact app. As checked, each contact name got 2 phone numbers.

I cannot press call button from contact app to call out. even i have used contact app to sync only from icloud. I still cannot press call button to call out. as I checked deeper, each contact name has two same phone number (one number as "phone" and another one as "work/mobile/home....) so it seems iphone doesn't know which number should be dialed so if i choose to call out from "work/mobile/home....", next time, the call button will be changed button's name to work/mobile/home button and then it can call out from one touch on next time. however, if I choose to call out from "phone" number, it can't call out at all.

so my question is how can I make the iphone to show only one number. I have log in to icloud in computer to see each contact, it's strange that i can see only one number and named as "work/mobile/home...etc)....

pls see picture #1 - show 2 phone numbers\

#2 - if press call from phone button, it cannot call out at all.

#3 - if press call from "work/mobile/home.... etc", it can call out and the button will be changed to work/mobile/home.. button and i can press call from this button in next time without any problems.

but it will be very troublesome to do for every contacts.....

anyone, pls help.

You may have stored the same contacts in multiple email accounts.

Either remove the contacts from the rarely used email account or disable contacts from the rarely used mail account in the iOS Mail app.

Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you had Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other

What is your default Contacts account? If none, please add an email account and enable contacts.

If you have a corporate email account added through a profile on your device, please check with your organization's system administrator.
