Airplay receiver setting

Hello! I have 2015 MacBook Pro, Monterey 12.7.3.

I'm trying to mirror by airplay my iPhone 12 Pro Max (iOS 17) screen to my MacBook, but my iPhone doesn't find it in screen mirroring list, although they both are connected to same WiFi. In addition to that there is no Airplay receiver setting in system setting at all. Does it mean this feature is not supported?

AirPlay from a Mac to an Apple TV set-top box has been around a long time. AirPlay to a Mac is a fairly recent thing.

Set up your Mac to be an AirPlay Receiver - Apple Support

According to the Support article, AirPlay to Mac "works best" with MacBook Pros introduced in 2018 or later, running macOS Monterey or later. "Works best" is a bit ambiguous, but I take it to mean that your Mac has to satisfy the listed requirements to be an AirPlay Receiver. Your MacBook Pro, being from 2015, is too old.
