Is it possible to save photos directly to iCloud using an external digital camera?

I find myself in the following scenario: we have a clinic where each patient needs to be photographed during every visit. It is crucial that these photos are immediately available for the doctors responsible for the patient's treatment. The doctors use iPads.

My question is whether there is an external digital camera available that can directly save photos to iCloud via a wifi connection. Or is this functionality limited to iPhones or iPads? I am aware of cameras that allow exporting through an app, but this process takes too long and is too cumbersome for the staff tasked with taking the photos.
