configure replaced airpod pro

I received a replacement airpod and followed the steps, but I never get the case to show a white light - only the amber. Any ideas on next steps to try?

Replacement Airpod pro not connecting I lost my right airpod pro and just recently got it replaced. My charger is saying it is charging (when i plug it into an outlet it it is a solid orange) but when i open the case it starts flashing orange. If i press the setup button when the airpods are not in the case it will start to flash white eventually. They cannot connect at the front screen. Sometimes, if the airpods are in the case, it will start by flashing white, but will eventually go back to flashing orange.

how to connect up a replacement air pod pro? I have replaced the right airpod as I recently lost it, but when I place it in the airpod case it isn't recognized.
