Cannot connect to Wifi when esim is turned on

My iPhone 13 used to work perfectly. However, recently I added an esim and the phone started to disconnect from the wifi very frequently. When I go to wifi settings, it takes a very long time for wifi to show up in the list. Sometimes when I click on the wifi, it says that the wifi cannot be connected. Just now I tried turning off the esim, and all of a sudden the wifi started to work fine. I have tried restarting the phone and resetting network settings, but the problem persists. How can I solve the wifi issue while keeping my esim? Just for information, my phone was bought in the UK and the esim was bought in France from Free Mobile.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Then the next most likely is interference→Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support

After that, try resetting your network settings.

Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Transfer or Reset Phone
- Tap Reset
- Tap Reset Network Settings

- This will erase all Wi-Fi passwords, but will not result in any other data loss.

Okay, the wifi still disconnects from time to time after turning off the esim, so maybe the esim is not causing the problem directly. However, the wifi issue only appeared after getting the esim, so I suspect that it might still have something to do with the problem.

As I posted above, and you must have missed before posting:

Most likely: If you are using VPN, delete the VPN profile and app.

Next most likely: Go to Settings/Cellular and turn off Wi-Fi Assist (near the bottom of the list)

Hi, thank you for the reply, but I have never used a VPN on my phone. I just checked and wifi assist was already off. It seemed that these two might not be the cause of the issue.

I too have the same issue. I tried everything but nothing seems to work. Problems started when I shifted from T-Mobile network to spectrum (esim).
