I am soon going to travel to the united states and was looking into buying an iphone 15 pro there.
as i want to buy it for my own use , i want to know about custom duties,etc. also ,in my knowledge, when buying , we pay a tax at the apple store and as we are no longer going to use the phone in the US , we can get it refunded by applying for the same in the customs in immigration.
please help answering or share any article links or rules to help.

Hi , so my friend said that iPhone 15pro 256gb is 1099$ in US and said about extra 204$ is for taxes. Is it true? Is there any way he can skip the tax payment or refund while travelling to India?
well the difference in price is around 550$ and i am going to be in the US anyways so i will prefer to buy it now.

finally can you please clarify if there are customs if i bring it to india . either unboxed or still sealed in the box

You'll likely be denied warranty or AppleCare+ service on it, and your Indian carrier would need to support the eSIM.
