Software update will not continue

Popup states 'The Finder is about to quit. Click Continue to eject the disc without burning "Macintosh HD.fpbf" to it. "Macintosh HD.fpbf" won't be deleted. You can burn it to a disc later.

No such file exists and software update stops.

OS Update stuck on "Less than a minute remaining..." I'm updating from Catalina to Monterey upon a Mac Mini 2014 (Late) device, it's reached the final stage but appears to be stuck now on the message "Less than a minute remaining..." Anyone else seen this ? Should I just leave it be, or power-cycle the box ? And can I recover in that case ? I have another Mac Mini upgraded to Monterey without any issues - that that uses an SSD rather than M.2 adapter. Also, the unit is becoming rather .. hot to touch.

trouble downloading Mac OS Ventura I tried downloading the new update on my Mac book air and it froze, so I did a force quit and tried again. It doesn't appear to do anything, but when moving the mouse to the desktop its just whirring, and when I go to force quit it says not responding every time! Ive got over 160GB of free storage so don't think that's the problem. Im connected to wifi and have laptop plugged in. Does anyone know what I can do please. Thanks

Monterey 12.5 restarts Apple - please fix your MacOS update install process. Monterey 12.5 took not one, not two, but FIVE (!) restarts to finally finish installing. Four times I watched a progress bar move, and four times it finished, only to perform another restart. That's insane.
