Stopping auto refresh and end of page bounce in Safari or other browsers

It drives me crazy when working on an online data sheet, I go a little too far and it refreshes the page and I often loose data and have to redo. Any help? I am not a coder🙃.

Safari problem under Ventura 13 I can't find this issue referred to among the many problems with Safari. I'm not quite sure how to describe it, so I will also include a screenshot or two: When I navigate to a website, then click on something specific on the website, such as a particular subject mentioned on a Wikipedia page, rather than hyperlink to that specific sub-article within Wikipedia, I am confronted with a drop-down bare page of slightly enlarged type from the sub-article, but without any accompanying images-just a large, bare page of text. This didn't happen two months ago, but it does now, and it doesn't happen in Google Chrome. I would like it to stop. It may be a result of some stupid move on my part, but I can't find a preference for it anywhere in Safari. See images: one shows what happens in Safari. The other shows what I get in Chrome.

Safari constantly reloading pages after IOS 26 After updating to iOS 26, Safari constantly reloads pages when I leave and returning. Even switching tabs within Safari causes the page to reload. Besides causing annoying delays, it causes loss of previously entered data when completing forms, etc. the reload causes everything you already entered to be deleted and you start from scratch. In some cases, this can be a significant amount of time and effort lost. I have tons of available memory. I closed all tabs in Safari. I deleted all my History and Website data. None of this helped. I also turned off iCloud synch for Safari. Any other suggestions? iOS 26 caused a number of usability issues for me, but this is the worst one.

The same is happening to me. The code doesn’t work either. I do know that on later versions of iPad this feature is removed. You may need to update it, unless it is too old. In that case, it will signal that it will refresh the page by putting a loading gif as you go. To avoid this, slowly scroll up and don’t let go of the iPad.
