is anyone else having strange issues with their iPhone today?

Started this morning with a contact notification about “cannot verify server identity” and it showed a google site. Google this and followed some steps to fix it which, I believe, stopped it. I noticed later on that my contacts disappeared. I still have texts from people, but their icons are gone and if I click on their info one option is to add a new contact. If I go to my contacts and type their names, it doesn’t exist. I’ve restated, turned off VPN. Don’t understand what happened..

Here are some steps you can take:

Troubleshooting Contact Disappearance and Server Verification Issue:

1. Check Contact Syncing:

   - Firstly, ensure that your contacts are set to sync properly with iCloud or your selected contact service. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Contacts and make sure Contacts sync is enabled.

2. Restart Your iPhone:

   - Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Try restarting your iPhone to see if the contacts reappear.

3. Check Contact Accounts:

   - Verify that your contact accounts are properly set up and active. Go to Settings > Contacts > Accounts and ensure that all your contact accounts are enabled.

4. Restore Contacts from iCloud:

   - If your contacts are synced with iCloud, you can try restoring them from iCloud backup. Go to iCloud.com on a web browser, log in, and check if your contacts are intact there.

5. Reset Network Settings:

   - Resetting network settings can help resolve server verification issues. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

6. Update to the Latest iOS Version:

   - Check if there are any pending updates for iOS 17.3. Updating to the latest version can often fix bugs and improve performance.

7. Contact Apple Support:

   - If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Apple Support for more personalized assistance. They can provide guidance specific to your device and situation.
