want to upgrade the memory ram on my mac pro

Hello,

Keen to understand if I can upgrade my memory ram from the 32GB to something bigger as it keeps saying it is running out of memory and I need to free up space. I have a mac pro. Thank you

The report that "you need to free up space" is not related to RAM, it's referring to the available free space on your startup drive.

If you select the drive and then click File > Get Info, you will find information regarding the "Capacity:" the "Available:" and the "Used:" space. If the available space is something less than say 50 GB, then you'll want to be making plans to add storage to your computer and move some of your files to that. An external hard drive or an SSD will be the easiest way to do this.

Also, so that we can help you best, please tell us exactly which Mac, model and year you’re having trouble with, and what macOS version you’re running. Find that info by clicking the Apple menu () at the top-left of your screen and then select About This Mac. (Note- for privacy and security please never post your serial number.)

And regarding your question "Can I upgrade my memory ram from the 32GB...?", the answer is "Maybe." To be more specific we need the details of your Mac as noted above.
