Remote shutter not working in landscape when casting

I have a small YouTube channel and I use my iPhone to record. I cast my phone to a TV in order to see what my viewers would be seeing while I'm recording, it's easier than going behind the phone to look at the screen.

After I believe iOS update 17.2 I noticed the remote bluetooth shutter control does NOT work when casting and the phone is in landscape mode. it works fine in portrait while casting and it works fine in landscape/portrait when NOT casting.

I am casting to a Windows computer using a program called Air Server but I did also try this on a friends Apple TV with the same results. I also tried another bluetooth remote with the same results.

Is anybody else seeing this issue?
