Can't Play My Music Files Through Studio Display
Hi All,
I just upgraded from an M1 iMac to an M2 Mac mini with Studio Display. I used the migration assistant and copied everything over and it all seems to be working fine apart from Apple Music...
I have a personal library made up of mp3/AAC/Apple Lossless files and they all played fine on my old iMac.
When I try to play them on my new Mac mini, literally nothing happens. I try to double click a song file or use spacebar to play it and nothing. It doesn't even load up to the top of the screen (where you'd see the artwork and progress bar as it plays).
Sometimes the Music app will hang and I have to Force Quit before I try again.
Under System Settings I've set my output speakers to the Studio Display but still nothing. The speakers do work though as I've played a YouTube video without issue.
I've tried the power off/unplug the screen/power on/connect the screen solution but I'm still having no joy.
I've tried changing the output speakers to the Mac mini itself but it does the same thing - not a lot!
Edit: I also just tried opening one of the audio files from within Finder and it plays perfectly through the studio display!
Hopefully I've covered all the details. I'd be grateful if anyone can offer any suggestions.
Thanks,
Studio Display
