M2 Max MacBook Pro Super Slow

When editing documents and emails, it sometimes take 6-15 seconds for it to show up on my screen. I have updated my computer and all the software is up to date. I have not used much memory at all (850GB available of 995GB). I have restarted it, closed all my other programs and it's still slow. What's going on?

MacBook Air M2 slow file access in apps Hello, My Macbook Air M2 8GB has recently gone incredibly slow when having to access my files in things like Chrome, Preview etc. A few examples of this where it takes a few seconds to navigate to file, open a file, change the name to save the file as etc: If I click 'Save Image As' in Chrome Pressing 'Upload Image/File' in Chrome Saving an image in Preview When I press 'Upload' on YouTube However, if I open finder normally I can navigate between folders as normal and everything shows up instantly. It only seems to occur when I try to open my folders/files via an app (Chrome, Preview, etc). I've uploaded this video showing the issue, hopefully it shows that it takes a while for each action to load where as usually it happens instantly. My iMac takes about 10-12 minutes to start running My Mac takes about 10-12 minutes to start running. My browser applications take about 30 seconds to start running. For most of the time i use my Safari or Opera Browser to surf the Internet. When I do every time I get the spinning wheel of death while i'am in the process of surfing. If I try to use Chrome browser, It takes about 2 minutes to start running and the words I put in the search area don't want to show, so I stop using Chrome browser. I use Pages word processor application it takes 20-30 seconds to start to run. Once it starts to run and I go to open the folder it takes about 10 seconds to open. When I go to open a file in Pages application it takes about 15-20 seconds to open or the application quits. And I get the spinning wheel of death a lot of times. My Mac Mail runs quick to start but a lot of my emails will take 60 seconds or more to show. I run my browsers ( one at a time ), pages application and Mac Mail application at the same time. I then close my Pages application and still get the spinning wheel of death when I start surfing the internet. I emptied out my cache and restarted my Mac and that does not help. I have a 2019 iMac, OS Sequoia 15.3.2 - Radeon Pro - Memory 8GB 2667 Mhz DDR4 Anyone help me to stop this from happening? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Etrecheck:

Consider downloading and running this little "discovery" utility, Etrecheck. it changes NOTHING.

it contains little tests for speeds of devices, CPU utilization, memory usage, energy usage and a digest of recent problems, in one easy to use package. it does not even need to be Installed.

if you follow the directions faithfully, its report (pre-laundered of all personally-identifiable information) can be "Shared" to the system ClipBoard, then Pasted into an Additional text window in a reply on the forums.
