My iMac takes about 10-12 minutes to start running

My Mac takes about 10-12 minutes to start running. My browser applications take about 30 seconds to start running. For most of the time i use my Safari or Opera Browser to surf the Internet. When I do every time I get the spinning wheel of death while i'am in the process of surfing.

If I try to use Chrome browser, It takes about 2 minutes to start running and the words I put in the search area don't want to show, so I stop using Chrome browser.

I use Pages word processor application it takes 20-30 seconds to start to run. Once it starts to run and I go to open the folder it takes about 10 seconds to open. When I go to open a file in Pages application it takes about 15-20 seconds to open or the application quits. And I get the spinning wheel of death a lot of times.

My Mac Mail runs quick to start but a lot of my emails will take 60 seconds or more to show.

I run my browsers ( one at a time ), pages application and Mac Mail application at the same time. I then close my Pages application and still get the spinning wheel of death when I start surfing the internet.

I emptied out my cache and restarted my Mac and that does not help.

I have a 2019 iMac, OS Sequoia 15.3.2 - Radeon Pro - Memory 8GB 2667 Mhz DDR4

Anyone help me to stop this from happening?

Agree with the others. Long history here of Intel iMacs says you have a storage issue. If so, all the RAM in the world cannot make that better. The Etrecheck report will report drive performance data and health.

A 2019 iMac 27 shipped with, at the storage minimum, Apple's Fusion Drive. Fusion is a bit picky, and ill-advised attempts to reinstall the OS on Fusion often end up with the Fusion config messed up. You get slow booting and slow app launches. EtreCheck will tell us.

Buying RAM does not speed up the start up time, it is a mistake to NOT post an EtreCheck report. Also, iMacs are incredibly sensitive to RAM so unless you installed very high quality RAM you have probably made the problem worse. Please only install OWC (www.macsales.com) RAM, if you did order OWC then well done but again it will not help your problem. If you bought another brand other than OWC then please return it and post your EtreCheck report!
