Problem printing large files to epson from ventura

Large files stop printing or print stripes of different part of the image when sent to my epson surecolor p9000. Seems to be an apple issue as it happens when printing from photoshop and preview. It is not a formatting issue or a scaling issue. It is related to the files being 1-2 gb in size and the computer not being able to handle the amount of information. It did not happen in monterey. Suggestions welcome. Updated to most recent ventura, tried safe mode... already been through troubleshooting with epson and they at really at a loss. Apparently ventura Really really doesnt play nice with printing

Have you verified whether or not you are using the Epson driver vs. Airprint; and if it's the Epson driver, is it the most recent p9000 driver for Ventura?

Regarding Airprint, it does not support all the functions of native printer drivers; and I have seen (experienced) macOS converting a printer to Airprint without any user action (usually naming it something like "Printer xxxx-2," the 2 being the difference in printer names). Check this in Settings. I saw this happen right in front of me; I was able to fix it by removing the printers and then adding them back, making sure to select the Epson driver and decline Airprint.

Have you tried resetting the printing system? Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem - Apple Support

Also, when you say this happens when printing via Photoshop or Preview, it suggests the problem is with those apps, not the system. It is possible they are pointing to an Airprint version of the printer; check that. What reason do you think the problem has something to do with the size of the images you are trying to print? Do PS & Preview print small images ok but big images not ok?

Finally, if you have a USB hub between the printer & Mac, remove it and connect the printer directly to your Mac; and make sure you are using a high quality USB cable that is no more than 10' long.

I hope at least some of this helps.
