My iphone got hacked pop-up

I was on Safari when I received a pop-up saying my Iphone got hacked. I sadly clicked close on the pop up. Then I exited the browser closed it, and cleared history. I changed my Apple ID password and I looked at the Safari settings where all the safety options were turned on.

I am scared because I clicked close on the pop up. I did not click any link or give away personal information regarding my Apple ID. Can someone please give me more information about whether my phone is safe?

You are fine. Those messages are common when browsing the internet and occur more frequently when visiting sites that are in the darker areas of the internet. You just need to move on to another page and not provide any information to them. You were not hacked and that is the whole purpose to scare you into providing them information that you should not do.
