Podcast Queue iOS17

I can get to the queue of a single show, but how can I manage “play next” queue for multiple shows in one place? This has never worked well. Previously, you could add to play next and reorder, but then it would be wiped out if played out of order. This is incredibly frustrating after spending time to setup a play next queue and then have it disappear.

However, when I rearrange the podcast queue, they will move back or move to a random spot in the queue. i want to listen to them in order, as they are series and so should be listened to in order. I move them around in the queue on my iPhone, and then when you scroll so that podcast is off screen, it will move back to where it was before. Any suggestions?

How can I change the order of podcasts in the Up Next queue? Podcasts determines the order that individual episodes are added to my iPhone (ios 17.3) Podcasts queue. Is it possible to rearrange this order? Maybe I'm not in the mood to listen to the next show/episode and I want to drag the episodes around to customize the playlist order. Am I missing something? Maybe I need to return to Pocket Casts since this is a feature I use all the time.
