You best read the terms and conditions which include this:

4. What is not Covered?

4.1 Hardware Service and ADH Service

Apple may restrict Hardware Service and ADH Service to the country where the Covered

Equipment was originally purchased.

from here:

https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/applecare/applecareplus/2209/220907_applecareplusmac_us.pdf

That means they may or may not cover it.

iPhone coverage is generally specific to the country of purchase.

MacBook Pro coverage has traditionally been world-wide, and almost all parts are the same on every MacBook Pro, world-wide. HOWEVER:

The parts that are not universal are EXACTLY the assembly that includes the keyboard, which may have keys not generally available everywhere. and the battery is part of the Keyboard/Trackpad/Battery/TopPlate assembly. if you have trouble with that

You may not be covered.

The "may restrict" exclusionary language in the operative document that babowa posted is nothing new. It goes back in older versions of the AppleCare and AppleCare+ policy statements at least five years last I checked. It started getting more attention when Apple issued a revision of the document in June of 2022.

The standard one-year warranty for Mac computers IS valid worldwide:

Legal - Mac Warranty Us - Apple

but Applecare+ has the "may restrict" language for coverage outside the country where sold.

>opinion>In corporate-speak, at least to me, "may restrict" sounds more like "will restrict."</opinion>
