How to retrieve password for an old iTunes account?

I have a old itunes ID with lots of music under it that shows up on my computer but not the password, when I try to find old password it goes to my current ID. How can I get my old password?

Forgotten password/different Apple ID I have inaccessible .m4p iTunes music purchased using an old Apple ID, the password to which I have forgotten. To further complicate things, the ID is an email address that is no longer working, so attempts to change the password (which involve getting an email sent to that address) don't work. I do have iTunes Matching, but have been unsuccessful in trying to add the protected songs to my current library. Appreciate any suggestions as to how I can regain access to the music.

Legacy Windows iTunes password missing I recently upgraded to an iPhone 16. About 90% of the music is no longer available to me. All this music looks to be my original iTunes library from 2005 created on a windows machine. My email at the time was a compuserve account, for which I apparently cannot remember the pw. Resetting the pw does not work as “cs.com” no longer exists. Is there a workaround for this? Please!! 🙏🏼 Thanks! 🙏🏼 🙏🏼

Have you checked the Keychain Access app to see if the password is stored there?
