How to display entirety of notes field in iPhone calendar event?

When I open an event on my iPhone calendar (e.g. a doctor’s appointment) the notes field only displays a fraction of the notes. I’d like the calendar to display the entire note, without needing me to click an extra link. I’m pretty sure the calendar used to display the entire notes field.

Here’s an example of why I’d need this: I had a doctor’s appointment scheduled. I had scheduled it months ago. The day before the appointment, I opened it in Calendar to view the event details. I realized I didn’t know if I should abstain from food or drink before the appointment. I called the office & got the instructions. I then back to the iPhone calendar to add this information to the event. When I clicked “edit” and got to the notes field, I discovered that I had already entered the information when I first scheduled the appointment. It’s just that I couldn’t see it (without clicking to expand the field)

I hope this makes sense. TL:DR I need the notes field in the iPhone calendar to show all the notes when I click on an event
