Backup notes on iphone to iCloud

I’m trying to backup my notes on my iPhone to the cloud. Notes is turned on in iCloud but when it dubs it does not backup the notes on my phone. What do I need to do to get them to backup.

Does iTunes backup include notes in the All on My iPhone folder I do all my notes on my iPhone in the All on My iPhone folder, not in the iCloud folder. I know that means they are not synced to the iCloud, and I don't want them to be. I know iCloud backup does NOT include Notes that are in the iCloud folder. I THINK that means that notes in the All on My iPhone folder ARE included in the iCloud backup, but I can't find confirmation of that anywhere. SO I do a backup using iTunes on my laptop. iTunes says it does not backup notes that are synced to iCloud. But I can't find a way to verify that iTunes DOES back up notes that are in the All on My iPhone folder (and therefore are not synced to iCloud). So I'm still not confident that my notes are backed up anywhere!!

iPad Notes, not backing up to iCloud My iPad notes are not backing up to iCloud. The only Notes in iCloud are from my iPhone 14 pro. I have 999 iPad notes. In the Notes folders it appears under Yahoo. I backed up to iCloud this morning and still no Notes appeared on iCloud. The timing of this just happened to be after the 17.1 software update. And at first, no Notes were showing at all on iPad. But…I got them back. Under Apps using iCloud, Notes is “On”. Thank you for your help. Lizabeth

Hello,

"Set up Notes with iCloud

You can use iCloud to update your notes across all of your devices. To set up Notes with iCloud, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud, then turn on Notes. You’ll see your notes on all of your Apple devices that you’re signed in to with the same Apple ID."
