Daisy chain MacBook pro M1 to displays dell
Hello apple community.
I bought two DELL screens, the first is connected with an official Thunderbolt 4 cable and the first screen is connected to the second via displayport (IN and OUT). The MST protocol is enabled. However, the display still remains mirrored. And in setting computer, i see just one displayscreen.
Dell support confirmed to me that the first must be thunderbolt.
I confess to being lost. If anyone has an idea I'm all ears.
THANKS
First screen : U2724DE
Secondly screen : U2723QE
French to English translation of response support dell:
"Configuring multiple monitors in a daisy chain
Macs support daisy chaining of monitors using Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
Typically, the Mac can support up to two monitors in a daisy chain configuration (one monitor directly connected to the Mac and the second monitor connected to the first).
To daisy chain, the Mac must have a Thunderbolt 3 port and the first monitor (connected directly to the Mac) must also support Thunderbolt 3 (for example, the Dell UP2720Q monitor supports Thunderbolt 3).
The resolution supported by daisy-chained monitors may be lower, depending on the bandwidth required by each monitor."
