"All Inboxes" folder is suddenly empty, but "all trash" and "all sent" folders still have all the emails in them

I haven't made any changes to my email, but now I suddenly have no emails in my "all inboxes" folder, I have to click each different email account to see my emails in Mac Mail. Does anyone know how to change this back? I cannot find any information on this problem, but it just happened today. The folder is there, it just doesn't have anything in it anymore and I didn't delete anything.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.2

I just figured it out... my filter was somehow set to 'sort by unread' so once I read my emails, they disappeared from the 'all inboxes' folder. I disabled the filter and now all the emails are back in the 'all inboxes' folder as they were before. :o)

yep that will do it...

All inboxes holds all account inboxes...

You can remove it and add it back in if necessary... make some changes

Spin the carrot

Control Click

move your mouse to the right side to reveal the +/>

Thanks, but that is not the issue.

All the mailboxes are still located individually under the 'all inboxes' folder, but I have to click on each individual mailbox to see emails whereas before, all emails would show up in the 'all inboxes' folder... now it is empty.

It sounds like the exact issue...

So spin the carrot and close up the individual accounts(?)
