email from MacBook pro disappeared

Prepared an email. recipient addresses in BCC box but none in To box. Sent mail and it disappeared. A blank page appeared and it would not be dismissed.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.2

you need a To: address

Cc and Bcc are "carbon copies" that additionally get sent along with your To address.

if it is stuck in the outbox delete it and try again.

I am unable to find the mail that I sent. It is not in my sent mail box. I do have a blank mail page that I have been unable to remove.
