VW Jetta echoing when using wired CarPlay.

I bought my 2023 Jetta last November somehow some people

started to complain about hearing echo in their phones while I was calling them

by using wired Apple CarPlay

I called my Dealer, and I called VW support they both

refused help by saying that they can’t help me with it.

Has anyone gotten lucky with that issue from either VW or

Apple?

Is there anyone who has the same problem? Please let me know

if this can be fixed.

I installed wireless apple CarPlay kit, and the echo went

away.

I'm not excluding carrier (T-mobile) but how they could help

me?

When I called them, they told me to call Apple and VW.

I'm sure that VW knows about the issue, but they refuse to

help me currently.

I'm trying to find out if there are other people who have a

VW Jetta, and they have issues with echoing during calls on wired Apple

CarPlay.

If I use Bluetooth connection to call, I have no problems, but

my apple CarPlay is wired.

There are two major sources of echoing in cellular calls. The first is network latency caused by slow network. The second is acoustic feedback caused by speakers in the car being turn up to loud. Apple can’t help with either of these issues.

Network latency is a T-Mobile issue. Turning down the speakers is an easy fix that you can test.

They refused to help me, I talk to VW customer service and

to my dealer for almost a month,

Customer service set me an appointment with my dealer and

the dealer refused to help me.

After another 2 weeks VW customer service called me and told

me that at this time, they couldn’t help me.

I need to find people with the same issue and find out if

they receive support for VW, because I’m little disappointed  how VW responded to my issue.

I have the same issue happening on my 2024 genesis. And the apple car play only works when wired. no wireless option. When I uplug the phone, even during a call the person I am talking to says that the echo immediately dissappears. The phone seemlessly switches to it's bluetooth phone connection. But now I am unhooked on car play and have to reattach the cable.... while driving... not good. I tried turning off blue tooth thinking it was the double hook up on the phone causing the problem but that did not work. Only disconnecting the cable. Not optimum, should be a better fix. Still looking for the solution.

Here is what sounds like is happening. I’ve talked to several friends and when using the wired connection the head unit is supposed to send a signal to disable a mic. A fix (firmware update) was released and VW or head unit manufacturer needs to install the firmware. The latency (echo) is caused by sound from the different mics arriving at different times, thus creating the echo. This is not an Apple issue.
