Out of no where my Outlook messages to both my iPhone and Apple Watch show a message that I must open Outlook to read the message.
I want to be able to read the messages on my phone and watch. This new layer is a hindrance to the way I use these tools for work.
Please advise if there is a setting that needs to be adjusted to resume normal receipt of messages.
It might be best to check with Outlook customer support for an answer.
As of today Gmail is doing the same thing. So I am taking it that it’s an Apple change.
A coworker is experiencing the same thing with her Gmail on her iPhone. She doesn’t have Outlook on her phone to comment either way.

Yes, Apple's updates may affect other apps and services. But it is always up to the third party developers to adjust their products so they are compatible with Apple. Apple cannot take responsibility for changes that Outlook, Gmail or any other service provider will have to implement. Apple cannot make changes to their software. This is why I suggest you contact the service provider.
