Unable to find email on iPhone and iPad

I have two email addresses I only see one listed on my new iPhone Pro 15. I touched an email this morning barely touched it and it disappeared. I have checked every folder. I have checked every folder on my iPad and my iPhone and it's gone. How do I recover it? I did not delete it.
